Electra House is one of Adelaide’s most iconic heritage-listed buildings. Its Chamber Bar has long been a destination for refined socialising, and its recent refurbishment has elevated the space with new levels of elegance and comfort.
Led by Hosking Design, the vision was to create a lush, sophisticated atmosphere while preserving the building’s historic charm.
For the upholstered banquette seating, the choice was Crypton's Glamour - a performance textile that combines luxury, durability, and ease of care. In Pine, a sumptuous deep forest green, its chenille weave evokes the look of crushed velvet with a soft, inviting hand. The rich tone and tactile depth add opulence and intimacy to the bar, while the fabric’s inherent performance qualities ensure it withstands the rigours of a bustling hospitality setting.
The result is a space that feels both timeless and contemporary - layering luxe materials with subtle nods to the glamour of the early 1900s, creating an indulgent, enduring atmosphere.
